Etymology The specific epithet uncinatus is a Latin adjective meaning 'bearing hooks' or 'barbed', and refers to the unidentate hooded hooks of the species. [details]
Habitat Mainly in intertidal sand, sometimes mixed with mud and plant debris. [details]
