Etymology The species is dedicated to Renaud Paulian (b. Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, 28 May 1913 - d. Bordeaux, France, 16 August 2003), French naturalist and entomologist who collected the type material of the species. [details]
Spelling Blake (2021: 116, 117) twice misspells S. pauliani as 'paulini', but also spells the name correctly elsewhere on page 116. [details]From other sources
