Editor's comment Placement uncertain. Augener in 1933 confusingly presented this name as Gattyana globifera Trautzsch as though first authored by Trautzsch, although Trautzsch had presented just a record of Nychia globifera Sars. It seems best NOT to use "Gattyana globifera Trautzsch in Augener, 1933" as it does not exist. Augener should have created a new name. Augener 1928:693 presented an earlier use of the combination as G. globifera (Sars), including Trautsch's Nychia record. Wesenberg-Lund (1950:6) and Barnich & Fiege (2010) comment further, the latter keeping an earlier Augener Gattyana globifera record in part. Further literature checking is needed to see if Augener's concept has been placed elsewhere. [details]
