Etymology The specific epithet autolytoides, is composed by the syllid genus name Autolytus, and the Latin suffix of Greek origin -oides, meaning 'likeness' or 'resemblance', and refers to the resemblance that the species shows with the genus Autolytus in what concerns the presence of awl-shaped chaetae. Habitat Amongst algae, coral sand and coral fragments, in coral reefs in shallow water. [details]
