Editor's comment Knight-Jones (1984:110) did not synonymise Dexiospira with Neodexiospira. She said only in reference to Neodexiospira that it was "Usually synonymized with Dexiospira Caullery & Mesnil (1897), but that has a previous homonym Dexiospira Ehrenberg (1859) introduced for what appeared to be a protozoan." Knight-Jones did not provide verification that Dexiospira Ehrenberg was an available name. [G Read January 2014]. [details]
