Homonymy Haswellia Darboux 1899 is a junior homonym to Haswellia Myers, 1884 (crustacea, (n.n. pro Calyptura Haswell 1881)), and Haswellia Busk 1884 (Bryozoa), thus it cannot be valid, even if not made a synonym [details]

Synonymy Pettibone (1970: 19) examined the holotype of Thalenessa microceras. She placed this original name, which was recombined by Darboux (1899) into his Haswellia, as a synonym of Euthalenessa festiva (Grube, 1875). Thus the obscure Haswellia Darboux, an unusable junior homonym. is a synonym of Euthalenessa Darboux, 1899, and Pettibone (1970) clearly states this in the introduction to her review of Euthalenessa. [details]
