Nomenclature as Eulepidinae, a 'tribe' of aphroditiforms, based on Eulepis, and later raised to family-level by Augener, 1918. However, Eulepis is a junior homonym, therefore could not be used as the basis of a family-group name (article 11.7.1) [details]
