Etymology The species is named after the "Kawesqar" people, who inhabited the south of Chilean Patagonia. [details]
Habitat Boulders and sediments from shallow subtidal, and Macrocystis pyrifera holdfasts, in fjords and channels. [details]
Type locality Concepción Channel, Drummond Hay Island, near Madre de Dios Island, Chilean Patagonian region (-50.2769°, -74.8891°). [details]
