Begins (translation): "In the following I give a summary overview of biological studies, mainly of a zoological nature, which I carried out in Ceylon from the beginning of September 1913 to the end of February 1914. My research trip was primarily intended to provide well-preserved material from various animal groups for the work of my students and for my own studies.
