Synonymy San Martín & Hutchings (2006) revised the holotype and single specimen of the species (HZM P-17400), which is less than 5 mm long and with the prostomium and the anterior region of the pharynx damaged. It was not possible to verify the presence or absence of palps, but the chaetae and aciculae were similar to those of Odontosyllis australiensis Hartmann-Schröder, 1979. In the opinion of the authors, the specimen may be a juvenile of O. australiensis. [details]
