Etymology The specific epithet liniata refers to the coloration pattern of the species, with a dark brown pigmentation particularly in the anterior region of the body, formation a transversal band in the anterior border of the segments, besides a dark area in the anterior and posterior corners of the segments. Habitat Among rhizomes of Macrocystis, and in sandy and muddy sediments, in shallow water. [details]
Type locality Pacific Ocean, Peru, Callao, between La Punta and El Camotal (geocoordinates not provided, estimated to be lat. -12.075, long. -77.176). [details]
Type material "The holotype (ZMH P-14757) is possibly missing, since the vial was found empty" (Fukuda et al., 2015). [details]
