Etymology The specific epithet pseudomoniliformis is composed by the Latin prefix of Greek origin pseudo-, meaning 'false' or 'fake', and the Latin adjective moniliformis, meaning 'having a chain-like series of swellings', or 'resembling beads on a string or necklace', and refers to the moniliform appearance of the antennae and anterior cirri.
