Publication date Hartman (1951:122, catalogue 1959:320) dates Horst's "wawo" description as 1905, but without explanation. It was published in a commemorative 200 years anniversary volume (1702-1902) for Rumphius, and Horst (1904, in Nature) seems to indicate it had been published in 1902 and not delayed. Evidence contradicting this is not readily apparent. [details]
