Etymology The specific epithet dentata is the feminine of the Latin adjective dentatus, meaning 'toothed', and refers to the pharyngeal teeth of the species, with one big tooth just behind the opening and about 20 ventral to dorsolateral sharp teeth on the edge of the opening, with the more dorsal ones very worn and poorly defined.
