Neither Schiaparelli & Jirkov (2021) nor Carrerette et al (2023) comment on the whereabouts of the holotype (and only specimen examined by Benham) of Amythas membranifera. These later authors describe material collected from distant locations to the type locality of Commonwealth Bay.
