Etymology Authors: Lumbrineriopsis dulcis is named for "the Doce River, which flows into an estuary in the Atlantic Ocean, where L. dulcis is recorded." This is not further explained but 'dulcis' is a Latin adjective for sweet and 'doce' means sweet in Portuguese. [details]
