No abstract. Begins: The small collection of Hirudinea here described consists of seven new species of Rhynchobdelae. For the material upon which the five species Pontobdella loricata, P. aculeata, HelobdelIa nociva, Placobdella fulva, and Paraclepsis praedatrix were founded, I am indebted to the late Dr. N. Annandale, of the Indian Museum, who provided me also with valuable notes upon the coloration of several of these species during life, supplemented in two cases by water-colour drawings
