(Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Kalk (1958) and Rowe & Gates (1995)), Fiji and Saipan in Clark (1954)).
General distribution: Tropical Indo-Pacific in Kalk (1958); from the Red Sea to Polynesia (Tortonese, 1980); tropical, Indo-west-central Pacific Ocean, littoral waters (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
Ecology: benthic, inshore (Rowe & Gates, 1995).
Colour in life: disc rather brownish, with irregular spots. White cross-bands marbled with greyish on the arms. Habitat: coral reef (Balinsky, 1957). [details]
