(2012): "Differing from Saxipendium coronatum in the following respects: 1) length-to-width ratio of proboscis significantly smaller; 2) color of anterior body regions medium orange (instead of yellowwhite); 3) dorsal collar nerve incompletely invaginated (instead of completely invaginated as a tubular collar cord)."
