Harmful effect Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning (DSP) [details]
Harmful effect Tindall et al. (1989) in an abstract reported the presence of two unnamed toxins in a culture identified as P. cassubicum. This needs to be confirmed.
The strain SAG: B 40.80 (Sammlungen von Algenkulturen at the University of Göttingen) received 1977 from Provasoli does not produce okadaic acid and DTX1 or DTX2 as revealed by HPLC analyses. [details]
Identification This has many similarities with P. lima but differs slightly in shape and also in lack of trichocysts. [details]
