Diagnosis Test flabelliform, compressed, early stage planispirally enrolled, chambers increasing rapidly in breadth as added, and volutions enlarging rapidly until the test flares to become peneropliform, then uncoiling, with numerous strongly arched, broad, and very low rectilinear chambers, interior subdivided by numerous short straight vertical septula that arise perpendicular to the two faces of the test and may be inflated at the inner extremity, median region of the chambers undivided; wall calcareous, porcelaneous; aperture cribrate, consisting of a row of pores.
