Diagnosis Test small, elongate fusiform, axis of coiling straight, septa numerous, straight and unfluted in the central part of the test but may be fluted toward the poles; wall of two layers, a tectum and less dense lower layer or keriotheca, tunnel single, chomata poorly developed, axial fillings restricted to the polar regions of the early whorls but more extensive in later whorls.
