Diagnosis Test inflated, with broadly rounded periphery and flattened sides, early stage streptospiral, later planispiral, with rapidly enlarging whorl, moderate number of chambers per whorl (about six to eight in the final whorl), septa short, thick, and slightly oblique, projecting toward the aperture; wall calcareous, thick, microgranular, dark, single layered, with secondary deposits that result in septal thickening; apeture simple at the base of the apertural face.
