Original description Test free, small, rotaloid, only last whorl visible ventrally, with definite umbilical plug; spire visible dorsally this side usually much more convex than ventral side; chambers numerous, moderately or closely appressed; dorsal sutures flush, usually limbate, ventral sutures depressed, sometimes channeled, at times with reentrants; wall smooth, very coarsely perforate; aperture a slit at base of septal face not extending onto periphery.
