Diagnosis Diagnosis. Test low conical, plano-convex. Spiral face evolute with weakly depressed sutures. Proloculus very small and spherical, followed by a tubular, undivided chamber. Lumina at concavus stage (i.e., semicircular to subcrescentic in axial section). Umbilical filling well developed in the ventral face. Wall and umbilical filling dark, probably initially porcelaneous. Aperture at the end of the chamber.
Description. Measurements: D = 143–260 μm; w = 30–45 μm; H = 50–75 μm; p = 5–7 μm; n = (7) –9–12; h = 10–18 μm; s = 5–7 μm.
Occurrence. Morrowan–early Desmoinesian of the U.S.A. (Arkansas, Idaho, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas), Canada, Peru; and early?–middle? Gzhelian (but possibly reworked from the Moscovian/Kasimovian?) of Asad-Abad (Central Iran).
