Original description Diagnosis. Small lenticular to discoidal test, with coiling slightly streptospiral, mostly in the inner whorls, and planispiral in the final whorls. Spire relatively rapidly inflated, and the final chamber tends to be slightly uncoiled. Chambers slightly lobate, with sutures faintly developed. Septa perpendicular to the wall initially and later curved backward in the extreme. Secondary deposits represented by a thin cover at the base of the lumen that developed pronounced spines, straight to directed forward. The spines grew initially from the opposite side of the end of the septa and continued into a posterior position to the septa. Juxtaposition of the septa and spines leave an elevated foramen situated in the middle of the lumen and in a posterior position relative to the septa. Dark micro-granular wall with probable inner and outer more dense darker layers. Large aperture simple and basal, more than 1/3 of the height in the final chamber.
Occurrence. Only one specimen of Vachardites priscelloides has been recorded below the first occurrence of Lochriea ziegleri, the rest of the specimens are recorded in Serpukhovian levels of the Vegas de Sotres section, northern Spain.
