Description Tests inflated fusiform (Fusulinellinae, Pulchrellinae) to ovoid or elongate fusiform (Wedekindellinae). Septa plane in the centre of the chambers; only folded at the poles. Chomata developed in Fusulinellinae and Pulchrellinae. Axial filling developed in Wedekindellinae. Wall diaphanothecal (rarely porous: Putrella Rauzer-Chernousova; Annulofusulinella Wilde orth. mut. herein; Praeobsoletes Remizova (contrary to Baranova, 2005) we think that this genus is different from Protriticites Putrya; Vachard and Moix (2011); and Thompsonella Skinner and Wilde; Vachard et al., 2004). Aperture simple.
Occurrence. Moscovian-Early Permian; cosmopolitan or endemic.
(Vachard et al. (2013)). [details]
