Original description Diagnosis: Test free, subglobular to hemispherical. Trochospi- rally coiled with biserially arranged chambers. Proloculus sphe- rical, inserted or prominent. Chambers chernyshinellid, triangular to globular in transverse section and alternating in axial section. Septa cuneiform to anteriorly curved. Wall secreted, calcareous, medium granular, containing coarse agglutinated calcareous particles. Aperture narrow, basal, simple, devoid of valvular projection.
Occurrence: Early Visean-Early Serpukhovian of Canada (Mamet (1970) re-interpreted by Cózar and Somerville (2012)). Middle Visean of Western Australia (this work). MFZ 13 of Tarim, China (Brenckle, 2004 updated here; see also Cózar et al., 2008). Early Asbian (Cf6g1 = MFZ14) of eastern Taurus, Turkey (Okuyucu and Vachard, 2006). V3bg/5 of Belgium (Laloux, 1988). Asbian- Brigantian of Ireland (Vachard et al., 2006). Upper Visean MFZ14 of central Morocco (Cózar et al., 2008) and eastern Morocco (Vachard and Berkhli, 1992). Upper Visean of Battleship Wash Formation of Arrow Canyon, Nevada, U.S.A. (Brenckle, 1997b). Upper Brigantian of Scotland (Cózar et al., 2010: fig. 4l).
