Original description Diagnosis: Short initial stage trochospirally coiled with three to six chambers in the first whorl followed by a long adult biserial stage that in the type species is twisted. Test cylindrical to tapering. Chambers hemispherical, well-sutured. Wall thin to moderately thick, dark to brownish, microgranular with a very fine calcareous agglutinated component more or less developed. Aperture simple, basal.
