AB  - Four species of the genus <i>Fauveliopsis</i> are described or revised: <i>F. brevis</i> (Hartman, 1965)) <i>F. adriatica</i> sp.n., <i>F. fauchaldi</i> sp.n., and one form that is closely related to <i>F. adriatica</i>.<br>
Hartman (1971) stated the genus only for the deep sea, but this study makes sure that <i>Fauveliopsis</i> species are also inhabiting shallow regions of the sea: <i>F. adriatica</i> was found in a depth of 60 m.<br>
A complete dichotomous key of all hitherto known species of the genus <i>Fauveliopsis</i> concludes this paper.
