Status New combination, Microphthalmus pacificus, as used by Westheide 2013:417, who also stated (p.416): "Hesionella pacifica Friedrich, 1956 = Fridericiella pacifica (Friedrich) n.nom. by Hartmann- Schröder (1959, p. 74), see also Laubier (1967), however, belongs without doubt to Microphthalmus as the figures in the description clearly demonstrate (Friedrich 1956)."
