Taxonomic remark Our 28S rDNA sequences were found to closely resemble that of Opistholebes amplicoelus Nicoll, 1915 of the subfamily Opistholebetinae Fukui, 1929 (98.70%similarity,MH933875) (Kakui 2022, Martin et al. 2018, 2020), suggesting that Maculifer pacificus belongs to this subfamily. [details]
