Type locality Authors state the specimen locality is the Challenger Plateau, but the location is inshore on the margin of the plateau, and better described as offshore of West Coast South Island, -43.4192, 167.8358 E, Tasman Sea, (43 25.15'S, 167 50.15' E); 1523–1526 m. There is no type locality statement as such. [details]
Type material There is no type deposition statement. This is required for validity under Code article 16.4. The name of the museum holding the type (SMF 17636) is not stated, but is assumed to be the Senckenberg, Frankfurt. [details]
