Authority Nude name in Linsley (1845: 276); Gould (1848: 233) used the name in synonymy, saying "This seems to be quite a young and small specimen of C. convexa, Say." First used as valid by Dall (1902: 370). Because the name was first introduced as a nude name, rather than as a synonym, it does not take authorship and date from its appearance in synonymy, but from its first use as valid (ICZN Article 11.6). [details]
