Taxonomic remark According to Lowry & Stoddart, 2011: Based on examination of specimens in the Australian Museum collection (AM P.3190) this taxon has maxilla 1 outer plate setal teeth in a 7/4 crown arrangement and maxilla 2 inner plate much shorter than the outer plate so belongs in the family Uristidae and the genus Uristes as Hurley (1965) indicated.
