Remark Bellan-Santini (1997) did not recognise the family Uristidae Hurley, 1963, and placed Tryphosella uristesi in the Lysianassidae. The fully developed coxa 1, reduced inner plate of maxilla 2 and the non-triturating molar indicate that it is not a Tryphosella. The reduced inner plate of maxilla 2 and the non-triturating molar indicate that the species should be placed in the Uristidae, probably, as she indicates, in a new genus. Unfortunatly the setal-teeth of maxilla 1, which would have helped place the genus, were not illustrated or described.  [details]

Taxonomic remark Coxa 1 is as large as coxa 2 and not tapering; maxilla 2 inner plate is much shorter
than the outer plate (Bellan-Santini 1997: fig. 11). This species belongs in the family Uristidae. [details]
