Diagnosis Test strongly compressed, broadly palmate in outline, globular proloculus commonly with a median longitudinal rib, followed by small biserially arranged chambers, later with uniserial chevron-shaped chambers increasing rapidly in breadth and strongly overlapping earlier chambers at the margins; wall calcareous, finely perforate, radial, surface smooth; aperture terminal, rounded, or obscurely radiate.
