Diagnosis Test elongate fusiform, increasing in proportionate length with growth, early coiling irregular in both generations, later planispiral, vertical septula forming numerous chamberlets, septula of adjacent chambers aligned, chambers in the adult further subdivided by horizontal floors into two or more layers of main chamberlets and an additional upper row of low chamberlets or attics, preseptal passages at the chamber floor laterally connect adjacent chamberlets of the same chamber, later whorls may also have smaller secondary preseptal passages; aperture multiple, of several longitudinal rows along the apertural face corresponding to the layers of chamberlets, and smaller openings leading into the outer narrower row of attics.
