Nomenclature replacement name for junior homonym Nereis languida Grube, 1868 [details]Original description The new name is introduced by Ehlers (1868: xx) in an errata to Ehlers (1864) included in the preface, as follows: "Pg. 458, Zeile 18 von oben, hinter N. rupta ist einzuschieben: »N. vancaurica (mihi) = N. languida Grube (Reise der österr. Fregatte Novara. Bd. II. Anneliden, pg. 15. Taf. II. Fig. 1). Vancauri.« Eine neue Benennung dieser Art war nöthig, weil der Name languida bereits von Kinberg für eine Nereis benutzt war." [translation: "A new designation of this kind was necessary, because the name languida had already been used by Kinberg for a Nereis" [details]
