Etymology "The name refers to the arrangement of the paragnaths in Area VI of the pharynx" (Hutchings & Turvey, 1982: 113). The specific epithet isolata is a New Latin word meaning 'detached' or 'separate', and refers to the presence of a small isolated patch of 2-5 cones in the centre of a continuous row of paragnaths in Group VI. [details]
