Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Ehlers (1907: 14): ''Kopflappen vorn am breitesten mit schmalem bis an das zweite Segment reichenden Occipitallappen; 4 Augen; an den Vorderecken unter dem Seitenrande jederseits mit einem am Ursprung deutlich abgesetzten cylindrischen Anhang. Ruder überall zweiästig, in der vordern Körperstrecke mit langen Lippen und dorsalen langen mit der Lippe nur in der Ursprungsstrecke verbundenen Kiemen, in der hinteren Körperstrecke mit kleinen Lippenblättern ohne Kiemen; Borsten in den vorderen Segmenten in beiden Ruderästen nur capillar, in den hinteren Segmenten in beiden Ästen capillar und lange Haken.
