Comparison Differs from Conocyathus by having an imperforate theca and lacking pali. [details]

Diagnosis Corallum solitary, small (up to 3.5 mm in GCD), unattached; theca imperforate; costae that correspond to septa quite wide, additional narrow intercostae also present; septa hexamerally arranged in two cycles, the second incomplete, resulting in 10 septa; pali and paliform lobes absent; columella rudimentary. [details]

Remark This genus (and family) was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology; Recent specimens were later reported by Cairns (2004). Only two species are recognized in the genus. [details]
