Description Colour: Disc patterned with gray, yellow and white; arms with dark longitudinal lines. Description: disc diameter 25 mm., arms 6 times the disc diameter in length. Disc covered with thick skin. Arm spines blunt, twice as long as the segment with dark rings or bands (Sastry, 1997).
Also distributed in Guam (Clark, 1954); Bay of Bengal, East Indies, north Australia, Philippine and South Pacific Is. (Clark & Rowe, 1971); Australia (Rowe & Gates, 1995); Andaman Is. (Sastry, 1997).
Ecology: benthic, inshore. General distribution: tropical, east Indo-west-central Pacific Ocean, littoral waters (Rowe & Gates, 1995). [details]
