Synonymy Since this concerns the typical subspecies of Plakina monopha it has to be renamed Plakina monolopha ssp. monolopha. The only other subspecies, Plakina monolopha antarctica is raised to species status, which leads to the conclusion that the nominal subspecies is a junior synonym of the species P.monolopha[details]
