Taxonomy Borojevic et al. (2000) accepted the type of Tenthrenodes, T. antarcticus (designation by Hooper & Wiedenmayer, 1994) as a member of Sycon, but later (Borojevic et al. 2002) assigned Tenthrenodes to the synonym of Sycantha, which was not properly explained. We follow here Dendy & Row (1913) and Hooper & Wiedenmayer, 1994 in considering Tenthrenodes a junior synonym of Sycon. [details]
