Taxonomy Redmond et al. (2013) in a large molecular tree with Poecilosclerida transferred Desmacidon ectofibrosa to genus Isodictya without explanation and also not with close relationships to three other Isodictya species. The species was transferred to Fibulia by Samaai & Gibbons (2005: 57) with species name misspelled and confirmed by Payne et al (2025: 34). [details]
