Synonymy Hajdu (1995) examined the type material of this species and concluded it is a junior synonym of Mycale (Mycale) dendyi (Row, 1911), whereas Hooper & Wiedenmayer (1994: 292) maintained it as an accepted species. The latter authors considered the var.minor Hentschel, 1911 as a junior synonym, whereas it was considered a valid species by Hajdu (1995).  [details]
