Taxonomy Taxonomy. Prosimnia renovata was reclassified as a valid species of Crenavolva by Cate (1973). Subsequent authors considered that Cate had misidentified his material, and that he in fact illustrated Crenavolva leopardus. The holotype is in poor condition and Lorenz & Fehse (2009) treated Cuspivolva renovata as a nomen dubium. The name is in use in the Australian fauna for a species that may be Cuspivolva tigris or Cuspivolva draperi[details]
