Etymology authors: Cirratulus knipovichana is "dedicated in honor to “Akademik Knipovich”, a Russian research vessel. A research fishery expedition in 1965-1966 to Antarctica and adjacent waters of the Southern Atlantic allowed Jose M. Orensanz collecting a lot of polychaetes, part of which was identified in this study." [details]
