Taxonomic remark Şerban introduced it as a provisional name ("nom provisoire") without the indication sp. n. or sp. nov. because the species did not completely fit the diagnosis of Dactylopodia (now Dactylopusia). Since only species published after 1999 have to be explicitly indicated as intentionally new the name is valid. Most authors (including Wells, 2007) have treated as a species incertae sedis in the genus. [details]
